Soccer and impact in our communities

Ballard FC Foundation's FREE Youth Camp will take place July 1 - July 3 at the Georgetown Soccer Playfield from 9am - 3pm each day.

This program is designed for families who may otherwise struggle to pay for youth camps in Seattle. We recognize that all can benefit from a free program and strive to be inclusive for other peoples -- however, if you're able to comfortably pay for youth programming, we'd ask you look into our other camp offerings from Ballard FC (not our Foundation). Thank you!

Our soccer camps are for players ages 5-13 of all skill types and the focus of the camp is fun and skill development. Camps are directed by Ballard FC coaches, with an experienced camp coaching staff of local coaches! Ballard FC players will be present to interact with the campers each day.

Our mission is to make soccer more accessible for those in our community - therefore this camp, like all programming from our Foundation, is free.

More details:

  • Check in is between 8:30am – 9:00am each day

  • The curriculum will be created by Ballard FC staff to be fun first and foremost but also to make sure each player is adequately challenged and leaves each day both inspired and a better soccer player.

  • All camp families will be emailed two weeks before the start of camp with more details.

  • Cancelation Policy: You may cancel your registration at any point up until 48 hours before camp starts. If it is within 2 days of camp starting, your registration is confirmed.

Mission

The Ballard FC Foundation is the social impact arm of Ballard FC, Seattle’s USL League Two soccer club. The Foundation serves as the strategic umbrella for all community work undertaken by the club both during the season and throughout the year, focused on free soccer camps and clinics in Western Washington as well as an innovative multi-sport academy model focused on holistic youth wellness.

Sebastian Diaz | Executive Director, Cultures United FC

At Cultures United Football Club we are very appreciative of the efforts of the Ballard FC Foundation to help us create a positive impact in our community using the sport.

[Our] work just started this Fall 2022 at White Center Heights Elementary School. This is a place that desperately needed our collaboration in order to bring a healthy and safe after school soccer program to life! We are now serving over a hundred kids weekly and the waitlist only keeps growing.

What we do

Soccer is a powerful tool for social impact, and a soccer club provides a big platform.

Free & Focused: All programming and equipment provided through BFCF will be focused on marginalized communities and be provided at no cost to participating youth. We estimate we will reach 1,000 youth in 2023.

Quality Training: BFCF programs will feature age- and skill-appropriate, high quality sport training and other programming. Our programs will be developed by experts and implemented by trained, community-aligned staff.

Leverage Ballard FC Club, Players & Coaches: Ballard FC has assembled a group of players and coaches representing our community’s past, present and future professional soccer heroes. We will leverage the status of these heroes to reach and impact youth in Seattle.

The Ballard FC Foundation uses soccer as a bridge, providing access, connection in our community and offering support to key partners. We will build an innovative, high-impact program strategy in close partnership with the communities we intend to serve.

Our Impact Pillars

Access

Free soccer training and equipment provided at 1-day clinics, multi-day camps, multi-week impact academy (with multiple sports, nutrition, literacy and mental health elements)
